Oceanside, L.I.: Can someone tell me the difference between a carriage horse and a police horse? They both walk the streets and stay in the same type of stable in the city. So if the mayor was really serious about his reasoning for removing the carriage horses from the streets of the city, then shouldn’t he also be calling for the removal of police horses? If not, we must wonder what exactly is motivating the call for a carriage-horse ban. Sandra Weiss
