Work horses I (April 5, 2014: New York Daily News)

Springfield, Mass.: NYCLASS’ Allie Feldman was quoted in the Newark Star-Ledger saying the carriage horse ban bill won’t keep the horses from being worked after they’re chased out of NYC. The horse owners, she says, will decide. If so, the horses could end up working without regulations or safeguards, or worse. Seems like it might be a trip out of the fire and into the frying pan for the carriage horses. Kathryn Baker
