Happy horses (May 2, 2014: New York Daily News) 

Goffstown, N.H.: I was visiting NYC two weeks ago and, as an experienced horsewoman of 25 years with a bachelor’s degree in equine science, I scrutinized the carriage horses. I thought all were of excellent weight and groomed well, their hooves were in great condition and they were perfectly relaxed. Not a sign of stress to be seen. I am rather picky about horse care and saw nothing to raise my alarm. All were nice, well cared-for horses with a job. Every horse should be so lucky. Jessica Janowski
