Two films related to the New York City carriage horses will be shown at the Equus Film Festival this weekend the Village East Cinema in the East Village.
Working Horses, a film featuring Blue Star Equiculture, NYC carriage driver Luis Pinto, and NYC animal rights activist Roberto Bonelli, will be shown on Friday evening at approximately 5:10 pm on Friday in Theater 4 (session starts at 4:25).
Filmmaker Sandi Bachom will be showing a work in progress, My Horse for a Kingdom, about the carriage horse controversy in NYC at 3:15 pm on Saturday in Theater 5. Her film will be followed by a directors panel featuring herself, directors of Working Horses, and representatives from the NYC carriage industry.
