The Greater Houston Horse Council has since become the Texas State Horse Council, a member of the America Horse Council, whose mission is to promote the common interest of the horsemen and horsewomen of the state of Texas.
Resolved that the Greater Houston Horse Council supports efforts to keep horses and carriages on the streets of New York City and in Central Park. (November 2011)
