Horse sense (May 22, 2015: New York Daily News)

Stateboro, Ga.: Re “Leading a horse-carriage review to water” (NYDailyNews.com, May 19): This Op-Ed by Norman Siegel and Ron Kuby made very valid points, but failed to mention the trickle-down effect such a drastic move would have on businesses in and around New York. Two hundred horses go through a lot of hay and bedding, not to mention create a lot of manure that has to be disposed of. Then there are veterinarians, farriers, harness makers, etc. Is Mayor de Blasio going to find jobs for those people, too? Kathleen Miller
