Hizzoner’s hidden agenda (May 22, 2015: New York Daily News)

Manhattan: Mayor de Blasio — who has never visited the carriage horse stables or talked to the 300 Teamster drivers, their 400 children or the 220 horses he will send to slaughter — has finally crossed the line. When it was discovered that a mandated environmental impact study was secretly given to David Gockel, a simple Google search revealed his name on the NYCLASS website as a supporter of the carriage ban. This isn’t about the horses. It’s political payback to one man, NYCLASS founder Steve Nislick, the radical animal-rights and real-estate lobbyist who’s trying to get his hands on the property where two stables are located. Sandi Bachom
