Santa Monica, Calif.: The carriage horses are the lucky ones: a walk in the park, warm mash to eat and a soft stall to sleep. And we are the lucky ones to enjoy their quiet beauty in the chaotic life of New York City. At the end of the day, they have a bucolic home to retire to.
