Manhattan: I couldn’t agree more with the Daily News’ endorsement of Rebecca Lynch for Queens Council District 23 (“A pick for Queens,” editorial, Sept.7). In addition to her bold policy positions, Lynch’s support for the carriage industry is indeed an important litmus test for any public servant. A candidate who defends the rights of the carriage workers and their horses is one who can be counted on to defend all working- and middle-class New Yorkers against the depredations of special interests, rapacious developers and political cronyism. Lynch is right for eastern Queens and right for NYC. Christina Hansen
