A grand plaza indeed (October 16, 2015: New York Daily News)

Manhattan: Kudos to the Central Park Conservancy and the generous benefactors who oversaw the refurbishment of Central Park’s Grand Army Plaza. The plaza is now an oasis of beauty and grandeur in our otherwise gritty, noisy and crowded city. With our links to our past disappearing at an alarming rate, it is gratifying to see that Gen. Sherman’s tradition of riding his horse through Central Park continues today with the graceful horse-drawn carriages lined up along the plaza. As a city, we must never forsake our links to the past. Craig Sheldon
