Papal horses (October 19, 2015: New York Daily News)

West Orange, N.J.: Re Voicer Lisa Jablow, who wrote about carriage horses being pulled off the streets while the Pope was in New York: I think the Pope would have been upset if he had known, because he’s always talking about poor people and people who have to work hard to make a living. The people who drive the horses and carriages work very hard to make a living. A lot of people inspected the horses’ stables and said they were very well taken care of. Eileen McNamara
