Horse nonsense (January 19, 2016: New York Daily News)

Chattahoochee Hills, Ga.: Only Mayor de Blasio could have crafted a horse deal that manages to enrage everyone involved except, of course, for his cronies in the real estate business, since it is now more than obvious this vendetta he has against the horses is based on the location of their stables. Horses cannot live in stables that are yet to be built, and one horse cannot be expected to do the work of three. Stables in the park might not be a bad idea, and should placate all but the most extreme of the animal-rights groups, but only if they were able to accommodate all the horses comfortably so the industry could continue to function properly without overworking the horses, and only if the businesses were allowed to continue to function normally while they are being built. Victorena Minchew
