Folsom, La.: I am astounded that there can be any agreement that will cost the taxpayers of NYC a fortune to put people out of work. How can anyone allow the mayor to make a deal like this? Pursuit of happiness means a good job and freedom from government interference in doing that job. Carriage drivers aren’t strippers, drug dealers or prostitutes. They aren’t criminals of any kind, and yet they have been hounded for years, mostly by crazies. The people of this great city are being played by NYCLASS and the mayor as they pursue new ways to line their pockets. Why isn’t the FBI investigating all that is going on here?Calling it “a deal” makes it sound so acceptable when we all know it is not. I truly appreciate the Daily News as a breath of fresh air regarding the carriage horses. I have to support the carriage drivers. Just because their numbers are few does not mean they should be stepped on and treated shamefully. Alescandra Pastuszek
