Welfare of Humans Should Matter, Too (January 29, 2016: Wall Street Journal)

Real-estate developers Steve Nislick and Wendy Neu had a lot to say about the welfare of animals and their love of animals (“Duo Defends Proposal for Carriage Horses,” Jan. 22). What about the welfare of the hardworking men and women who drive the horse carriages or who work in the stables, many of whom will lose their jobs? Isn’t their welfare important too?
