Rescue other animals (February 4, 2016: New York Daily News)

Portsmouth, Va.: Anyone in the horse industry knows that a horse bringing in income is a horse safe from auction houses, slaughter or neglect at a supposed sanctuary or shelter. Recently, there have been numerous stories on social media about “rescue” facilities where equines and other animals have been seized by authorities due to severe neglect. The horses in NYC have wonderful homes, with owners who love and care for them. They are mentally and physically fit, healthy and happy, and there is scientific proof to back it up. They don’t need rescuing. Elizabeth Colon
