Menifee, Calif.: To Voicer Ali Riojas: Pulling a carriage is no harder for the horse than a parent pulling a child in a wagon. The work is relative to the size of the puller. Horses are trained to stand tied and trained to be ridden or driven or both. This country, like the rest of the world, was built on the backs of horses. Where do you think the word “horsepower” comes from? If we do not use horses, there will be no horses except in zoos. Is that what you want? Just a few horses instead of millions? Try learning about the horse industry before you condemn it. Marcia Barnes
