Horse word spreads (May 15, 2014: New York Daily News)

Westfield, Ind.: I received my “Save NYC Horse Carriages” shirt on Friday, and proudly wore it Saturday while hitting garage sales in my small town, about 25 miles north of Indianapolis, where I drove a carriage for 13 years. I had no expectations when I put it on, so imagine my delight when multiple people wanted to talk about it. These people knew what was going on, and every last one of them was supportive. Your story is out there, and the support is out there — even in small-town Indiana! For what it’s worth, the years I spent driving a carriage were some of the best in my life. I dearly loved my regular horses and, if wishes were horses, I would still be driving. Windy Johnston
