Brooklyn: To Voicer Edita Birnkrant: Bill de Blasio was trailing all the other candidates in money. Then, when all the anti-horse money started coming in, he said what few wanted to hear. In a few weeks, a miracle turnaround: He was No. 1 in the mayor’s race and started to push the idea of eliminating the horses. If you think the horses have to be eliminated, why don’t you pledge to take care of one? I’m sorry to say it, but you are ignorant about horses. The horse, the prima donna of the quadrapeds, is smarter than the other four-legged creatures, and sometimes the two-legged ones, too. Leonardo Timpone
