Losing an icon (June 2, 2014: New York Daily News)

Brooksville, Fla.: All the way down here in Florida, I’m watching in shock as NYC loses one of the most iconic businesses in its history — horse-drawn carriages. How can the good people of New York City have fallen this far? When Mayor de Blasio takes out the carriages — backed by wealthy real-estate garbage masquerading as animal activists, who manipulate the emotions of good New Yorkers, who have become blinded by lies concocted by people who have nothing to lose and everything to gain by turning stables into condos — then you get what you deserve. Stand up, New Yorkers. Kelly Arnold, Avalon West Carriage Service
