Double standard (December 22, 2014: New York Daily News)

Oceanside, L.I.: When the mayor says he’ll get rid of all horses on the streets of New York, then I’ll think about supporting the cause. But right now, this is just political. What’s the difference between police horses and carriage horses? Nothing; both work the streets of New York. The horses used by the NYPD work in more dangerous situations and more types of traffic. So is it really the horses he’s worried about? Sandra Weiss
