Bay Shore, L.I.: If I am to believe that there are people waiting to adopt a carriage horse to “save” it from the carriage industry, then why are so many horses slaughtered each year? Why aren’t elderly horses adopted every year? Maybe because it’s too expensive? Let the carriage drivers stay. Lon Davison
