No fear of freezing (February 26, 2015: New York Daily News)

Aquebogue, L.I.: I’ve been blessed to own horses for over 40 years. Given their choice of staying in stalls or going outside, my horses invariably choose to be out. Their coats are “engineered” to trap air as insulation. It’s not unusual to see them with their backs to the wind outside despite total opportunity to shelter in their stalls. Chilled horses shiver, and no shivering horse would go unnoticed in NYC. Cathleen A. Springer
