Cold comfort (February 28, 2015: New York Daily News)

Bowdoin, Me.: The fate of New York City’s carriage horses is being decided by many people who know nothing about horses except through propaganda from a misguided campaign to ban them. As for Voicer Naila Costa’s concern about horses being out in winter, they are extremely well adapted to handle cold weather. I had horses for over 38 years. They rarely go inside in the winter, even in bad weather. They go inside much more in the summer to get away from the bugs. Cindy Ross
