Horses are forever (April 25, 2015: New York Daily News)

Chattahoochee Hills, Ga.: The time will never come when there won’t be people who love, care for and want to be with horses. Urban horses are a joy and delight to those of us stuck in cities, and it’s a win-win situation. The horses get good lives in which they’re well cared-for, pampered, loved, petted and stuffed with carrots. And those of us who can’t afford horses of our own get to connect with them. I have two rescue horses now. They’re pasture pets and I don’t make a penny from them, but I can well remember the times in my life I’d have forfeited grocery money just to be able to pet a horse. Don’t allow uninformed activism to deny New Yorkers that opportunity. Victorena Minchew
