Horse nonsense (May 8, 2015: New York Daily News)

Essex, Mass.: NYCLASS’ subway advertisement picturing a collapsed horse is emblematic of twisted ignorance, hyperbole and lies they and other groups have been using against the carriage industry for years. There is no indication that Gandhi ever actually said the quote they used. Secondly, the horse, Flash, is not injured as is suggested. He slipped and fell when his driver was trying to get him away from animal rights activists who were screaming at children in his carriage. He was up and moving without injury within a few minutes, despite activists’ attempt to disrupt drivers’ work so they could get more pictures. Ellen Attridge
